Moscow – St. Petersburg

Day 1 Friday Welcome to Moscow
Arrive in Moscow, the cultural and political capital of Russia.  Transfer to your hotel.

Day 2 Saturday Moscow
After breakfast, depart for an orientation tour of the city, viewing famous landmarks and places to which you may return at your leisure. Tour sights included Red Square, the Kremlin, Sparrow Hills, the Bolshoi Theatre, and the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, Victory Park, Novodevichy Convent and the famous Moscow streets. Included in this tour today is a visit to the Tretyakov Museum. Evening is at leisure, to attend an optional performance at the ballet or opera in one of Moscow’s many theaters. B

Day 3 Sunday  Moscow
Today, return to the Kremlin grounds for a closer look at its many treasures: the magnificent Ivan the Great Tower and Belfry, the Grand Kremlin Palace, the Palace of Congress, Cathedral Square as well as the Czar Bell and Czar Cannon. Within the ground is the fascinating Armory Museum with its spectacular collection of costumes, silver and arms among a vast treasure trove of exhibits. Evening is at leisure. B

Day 4 Monday Moscow – St. Petersburg
Morning is at your leisure to enjoy many of the optional tours that your guide will offer you.  Board an express train and arrive in one of the loveliest cities in Russia, St. Petersburg.   Transfer and check-in at the hotel. B

Day 5 Tuesday St. Petersburg
Today, on your panoramic orientation you will see all the major sights of this beautiful city – the world-renowned Hermitage Museum, housed in the Winter Palace, Peters and Paul Fortress and driving along Nevsky Prospect, St. Isaac’s Cathedral and the Church of the Spilled Blood. Included in this tour, is a visit to world renowned Hermitage Museum.  B

Day 6 Wednesday St. Petersburg
After breakfast, depart for Tsarskoe Selo, the former country residence of Russian emperors. Tsarskoe Selo is a fascinating monument of the world’s architectural and gardening arts of the XVIII-XIX centuries. Visit the exquisite Catherine’s Palace, containing magnificent decorative objects, furniture, Russian and Western-European paintings, and a unique collection of porcelain, amber, and sculptures. B

Day 7  Thursday St. Petersburg
Free time to enjoy as you please.  B

Day 8 Friday St. Petersburg
Transfer to the airport. B
